QIK-N-EZ: CREATING DESTINATIONS
WITHIN A DESTINATION

When planning the largest Qik-n-EZ convenience store to date, the owners of the popular Illinois chain envisioned distinct identities for various product areas, while mandating that all store sections function as one. Instead of custom millwork, management was won over by Royston’s modular metal products within a design created by Paragon Solutions, Inc. and implemented by Jeff Fortier, of Fortier Inc., one of our key distributors. The new store features a curvy prep island with an array of fresh food offerings; a welcoming corner setting for coffeehouse blends and donuts; and a fountain and frozen treats zone that screams “excitement” and “childhood,” thanks to a fun gumball décor and 5-foot gumball machine. Our versatile equipment and design created the feel of different destinations within the store, while meeting Qik-n-EZ’s image and functional requirements.

Easy to maintain and ready to accommodate more food selections seamlessly, the location is the new model for Qik-n-EZ expansion.

“What’s great about Royston is its product flexibility – how the equipment fits our unique mold,” said Qik-n-EZ founder Grady Chronister. “And the reusability is a huge benefit, knowing we can make store changes without having to completely reinvest in fixtures.”
