About Royston
Our History
Over 130 years of customer-driven innovation:
- 1868: A.W. Hopeman, the company's founder, began his cabinetmaking business in Rochester, New York.
- 1916: Hopeman started performing marine joiner work for Cramp's Shipyard in Pennsylvania.
- 1964: The company added to its diverse manufacturing capabilities with a new factory in Georgia, which was the start of the Royston division.
- 1970: Royston begins offering modular metal fixtures to the convenience store, food service and retail industries.
- 1980: Royston expanded, adding a state-of-the-art metal fabrication plant
in Jasper, Georgia.
- 2003: Acquired Reynolds Corporation, a front end solutions company
- 2003: Acquired the retail business unit of Borroughs, a metal checkstand manufacturer
